The 18 oz. Water Resistant Canvas has a wax coating that gives it the water resistant properties. Although it repels water and keeps items safe and dry underneath, these tarps are not 100 percent waterproof. Pooling water on the covers can seep through over time.
Water Resistant Tarps are ideal for industrial, agriculture, construction, and commercial applications for items such as equipment, machinery, supplies, and structures.
The 18 oz water resistant canvas tarps are not recommended for indoor use. Although the wax coating that provides the water resistant properties has a dry finish and is much cleaner than other similar products in the industry, a chance does exist that the coating can provide a slight odor along with generating stains when in contact.
