Yes, these blue tarps are 100 percent waterproof. The poly tarps are coated on both sides with polyethylene and made with three ply material generating complete protection against water. These covers are also durable and strong as they are tear, abrasion, UV ray, rot, and mildew resistant while being incredibly lightweight.
Although we do sell most of our tarp products individually including dozens of poly tarp items, this particular blue tarp product is only sold by the case because of the incredible economical value that is provided in bulk.
It is the blue poly tarps that are most often and stereotypically called Hurricane Tarps. Actually, any tarp that offers protection during and especially following an extreme weather event, when damage has occurred, can be considered a hurricane tarp. Because of their waterproof qualities and strength while being easy and lightweight to handle, Blue Tarps are conveniently used to cover damaged areas including roofs, widows, and other structures to provide protection and prevent further harm. These are meant to create a temporary cover during the time before permanent repairs can take place.
Considering they are incredibly lightweight, Blue Poly Tarps are relatively strong providing great protection from water, the sun, leaves, dirt, and other contaminants. In a stationary setting they are extremely effective. These covers are 3 Ply poly material that has a reinforced weave with a polyethylene coating on both sides. The hems are also reinforced with rope and the seams heat welded for added tie down and overall strength.
These Blue Tarps only come in this single color. We do offer many Poly Tarps in a variety of weights, grades, and colors. Just not this style of tarp sold in bulk and in Blue.
